I am envious of him being able to sleep like there "is not a care in the world!"

Oh, and he is in my bed. My son does not have flowers on his sheets! LOL!

"When I Grow Up!"

Brendan loves to do workbooks. He does a page a night, which has nothing to do with school. The kid is nuts, I know! :)

Tonight, I asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up. Every time I had asked before, his answer was always the same, "a veterinarian."

This time he said, "A teacher."

Honor Roll

Brendan came home yesterday all excited because of this. He did say that there were other students who received a "different one" because they made all "A's."

Poor kid! He already feels the pressure? He made a "B" on handwriting! Boys are not supposed to have good handwriting! :) I made sure he knew how proud I am of him.

Report Card

Brendan's report card came in the mail the other day. He did really well! Yep, he takes after his mom! Yeah, right (not me, his birth mom).

Deep In Conversation

I do not know what they were talking about, but they sure were having a good time.

He's Scared

Last night when we were in bed, I told Brendan to go take the remotes back to the living room, which is on the other side of the house. He "did," and then, came back to bed.

This morning, I walked past the guest bathroom next to my room and saw this (picture). That "stinker" did not go to the front room, but actually just lay them on the floor. I guess he meant to pick them up before I noticed it. Haha!

He was too afraid to go to the living room by himself. :)

"It's Not My Fault"

My son came home with this sheet of paper in his folder today.  He told me that he was not talking, but that the "whole class" had to do it because of  "one" person.  I called his teacher this morning to confirm if it was true (it was).

Yeah, I just "love" his teacher this year.

A Nice Surprise!

This was delivered to me yesterday.  It's nice to receive flowers from someone.  I never expected these because I do not have a husband or a boyfriend (yet! Haha!)

WebKinz' Kid

He told me last night that he had "four friends" now on Webkinz. Goodness, is this the start of his "Facebook" addiction? :)

He Still Loves Me

After yesterdays picture, I thought that my son would still be a little angry with me. Actually, he was fine about five minutes after the picture was taken. We played a few games together, then watched "America's Funniest Videos," so it ended up being a fun night.

I was looking through one of his workbooks and found this page. Look at the first two questions!

That makes my heart melt! :) (One of these days, another girl's name will be put there in my place)!

As for the cursive writing, his school teaches the children how to do that in kindergarten. I wish they would teach printing first, because he is not so great at that. I know, it's weird.

Life's Not Fair

I had one upset little boy today.  He did not get what he wanted, so to say that he was disappointed, is an understatement.

Love Notes

The other night when I was going to bed, I discovered my cell phone on the floor in the hallway to my bedroom, with a paper stuffed in it. I picked it up, getting ready to "yell" at my son (not literally) when I suddenly saw what was written on the note.

When I walked into the room, he was sitting on my bed, with a huge smile on his face. How can you get on to someone who does that?

My "Job"

This is what I do, three-four hours a day, teach piano lessons.  It is a fun thing to do.  They come to me, and I just sit and teach.  :)

His Diary?

I found this by my bed tonight. If you cannot read it, it begins "Dear Diary.... Scribble, scribble, scribble, etc... Signed, Brendan."

I wonder what is on his mind? And WHY DOES MY SON HAVE A DIARY!?! Haha!

Lover of Books

The baby I watch loves books,  but sometimes she likes to pull them all of my bookshelves. This is not as big of a mess as she usually makes, but still, I have to do a LOT of cleaning after she leaves for the day. :)

The Final Book

If any of you read my post on my normal blog about the last Harry Potter book, you will know how upset I was about a certain character's death.

The book ended on a cliff-hanger, and I was "dying" to find out what happens next. I usually borrow these books from a piano student of mine, but I will not see him until Wednesday, and I could not wait that long (Well, I could, but I did not want to).

Anyway, I went to Target last night and bought it. Yep, I now own my very own Harry Potter book! Ha ha! I already started reading it, and already cannot put it down. :)

Our Date

Ever since last year, my son and I started this "thing" of having a date with each other every week. Even though we are with each other all the time, this gives us a chance to sit and talk, without the distractions of the television or computer. I love these times, and I will always cherish them.

This is not the best picture, but I almost forgot to take one, so it will have to do. I tried getting one of us together, but I could not quite get me looking "good!" LOL! I should have took a picture of the cutie-patootie that waited our table. Now, he would have been something good to blog about too! :)

Lost Tooth

Last night, as I was sitting in the movie theater with my son, he turns to me, and says, "Here, Mommy." Then, hands me his tooth. Yuck! :) He lost the one on the left.

Thankfully, I was with my friend, so she could lend me, I mean the Tooth Fairy, a couple of dollars.

Oh, and see that cut on the right side of his neck? Our lovely cat did that to him.

Fun At Chuck E. Cheese

I had my nephew, Jared, for the day, so I took them to one of their favorite places. Yes, it cost a bunch, but it was so worth it. I just took a book and read for a couple hours while they entertained themselves.

Anybody Want a Cat?

If I do not shut my bathroom doors, I will most likely find my toilet paper looking like this. She did not even do a "terrible" job with this roll.  Usually, the roll is emptied on the floor.  It has gotten to where when she does this now, I just leave the pile on the floor, and tell people to "take a piece." :)

Baby Toys

I never thought that I would have baby toys in my house again. Thanks to the little baby girl I get to keep everyday, that joy has returned.

Brendan got out of the bath showing me this. He allowed me to take a picture of it, only if I did not get a wide shot! Haha!

I "Heart" You, Mommy!

I noticed this "picture" on the wall in my office last night. It took awhile for him to confess that he did it (he blamed his cousins who were not at the house yesterday). He's seven! I thought they stopped coloring on the walls when they were three? :) At least he loves me.

He also cut his hair and one of my towels last night. What's up with that?

(Oh, and my wall is not that dirty. I had to darken it up so you could see the heart).

This is Sydney. She is spoiled. From the look of her, you would think that she is never in the house. :)

It Still Comes Down

Before it started to rain, my son and nephew emptied the pool and bucket so they could see how much rain came down. It's still raining and look at that pool.

The California hills are going to be so beautiful this spring. I will have to remember to take a picture of them, because then I will be reminded how this much rain will be worth it.

It has been crazy raining since last night. Our weather man said this is to be the worst storm that we have had in a long time. I love the rain, and we need it. At least it saves on the water bill because I do not have to water the lawn.

Long Time Friends

Gracey came for a visit today. She was a student of mine when she was in the seventh grade and I had her until she graduated. She hated me at first because I was tough, but I eventually won her over. We're great friends now. I am so proud of how well she is doing now. Students like her made teaching worth it!

New Jammies

It is always fun to get new pajamas for Christmas!

A New Beginning!
